here is the virtual world I enjoyed the most. it is called Winter-Landscape

The first door I entered had what looked to be a sauna of some sort. In this picture I also switched the viewing point of my avatar.

Red-eye Image Formats Assignment

here is the photo saved as a jpeg, gif, and png on my desktop

From what I can see I would say that the jpeg and the png are clearer and have a more realistic look. One the other hand with the gif you can see the pixels of the photo which makes it looks a little less clear.

MIDTERM 1

In Midterm 1 I used to "removing red eye" tool on GIMP. I selected color from the outside of the eye to color over the red portion. I also used the zoom tool to zoom from 100% to 400%. Then I used the Paint brush tool to write my name and I used the pencil tool to give myself some crazy red hair!

Then I used the smudging tool to smudge away some of my freckles 

Assignment 2-1 "What is Immersive Education?"

My first screen shot is of Professor Walsh talking about the summer intensive course he was teaching at Boston college, and the virtual world that this course used.

I thought that this was really cool. One school used this program to take kids on a virtual field trip to an aquarium. In this case the school could not afford to send the kids to the aquarium, but instead were able to use the virtual world so the kids could still have the experience. 

Professor Walsh talking about how this program has come such a long way since 1997. He talks about how in 1997 he was saying "imagine if we could do this" and now we actually can do those things!
